COLUMBUS, **Ohio House Minority Leader Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati)** today celebrated 2026 midterm election results where Democrats broke the Republican supermajority in the Ohio House and elected Dr. Amy Acton as Governor, calling the victories a demand for action on the cost of living.

“Ohio has spoken, and the message is clear: working families deserve a government that makes their lives more affordable,” said **Leader Isaacsohn**. “This blue wave was powered by people who are tired of working harder and falling further behind. They showed up, made their voices heard, and broke the Republican supermajority. Now it’s time to deliver results.”

**Leader Isaacsohn** and **Ohio House Democrats** will enter the next General Assembly focused on lowering costs, providing meaningful property tax relief, making housing and childcare more affordable, and protecting access to healthcare and strong public schools.
